VNC is a local company to us here in Vermont. They are well known for their pioneering use of whey (cheese) products to make excellent clear finishes for wood floors and furniture.

In 2020, VNC will offer a product engineered with hemp oil for wood finishing, as well as a new hydro lacquer and an ultra flat clear. All interesting and useful sounding products.

Properly refined hemp oil for wood finishing is said to be thin and crystal clear, which would make it a good wood penetrator. And, also food safe. As we get our hands on some of these new products, we will keep our readers posted on our findings.
