Blaklader Tough Guy Painter Pants Review

painter pantsThose of you who know me know that I am historically not a huge fan of painters whites. That all changed last year when I tested and reviewed Armed Workwear painters pants in APC.

That was my first experience using pants with insertable kneepads. I quickly became an advocate of this concept and am now pleased to have another choice in pants that have kneepads, and even some additional options I have not seen in pants anywhere.

Blaklader Tough Guy Painter Pants are the topic of my “From the Field” column in American Painting Contractor magazine this month, the October 2011 issue, which just came out in digital form this week.

We hit them with a weedwacker, abrasives on orbitals, and a hot sodium hydroxide cocktail.

I was looking around for a new pair of good quality whites for a new job i’ll be starting soon (Haven’t put on a pair of whites in a long time, nothing but coveralls in the industrial field), and recalled reading about Blaklader on one of our favorite paint forums. After some searching, I found a place to order them online, but wanted to see what others had to say about them before making the purchase – so I hit up Google for a review on Blaklader pants and voila – there you are with a first class review of them!

Just wanted to say thanks for writing such a detailed review, and keep up the great work with the site!
