Syslite: Illumination Solution
Now comes the Festool Syslite…18 watts of portable 180* of portable LED light on battery or plugged in power.
Lighting falls among those systems that often frustrates us in the field. Over the years, painters have used them all…halogen singles, twin heads on tripods, fluorescent bazooka telescopes, all with issues.
Halogens have always been the most commonly used light on our jobs, but the bulbs break easily, and they are expensive and time consuming to replace. They also ran too hot, which caused paint to tack up too fast, and made painters feel like spontaneous combustion was always a definite possibility.
It is our belief that LED is the general lighting solution of the future, and that should include jobsite lighting. So, we couldn’t stay in the dark on the Syslite any longer. We have been running a small fleet of Syslites since late 2011, and have been unable to break one yet, nor have we had to replace a single bulb.
There is hope.

Now if we can only get the German engineers at Festool to make the light fit on our head, we could be into some serious finishes!!!!!
At this point, I would say the sky is no limit 🙂
