How is it doing now? If there are no water stains in the oil you may be ok.

As the last foot was finished, a light rain came out of nowhere. With the sun shining and no rain anywhere in the forecast, it rained steady for approximately 20 minutes. Water was pooled up all across the deck and remained until the next morning. I pushed the water off and rubbed down the surface with a towel.
Now what??? Am I destined to strip and redo the finish? Will it ever dry or will this always be tacky?

Great reviews. it’s water based, which is very different from the others. If it works, a water-based stain would seem to have many advantages, including cleanup and not worrying about accidentally exposing to rain shortly after applying.

Any comments?

On one of your articles you recommend SuperDeck Transparent Oil-Based Stain for IPE. Although I couldn’t find the article again, I don’t specifically recall you calling out the Exotic Hardwood formula. Have you used the standard Sherwin Williams Superdeck Oil-based transparent stain on IPE? Is that recommended?

In the past I recall that the recommendation is to avoid power washers on IPE. Do you concur?
